The Holocaust was a dark time for many people. After weighing in 12 million deaths of children under the age of 6, sick and elderly people, and any people willing to rebel against the nazi’s. Under the reign of the tyrant Adolf Hitler, Germany was on the road to recover after the war. Adolf believed that Germans were a superior race so he felt the best possible way to save Germany was to exile all other groups. Of these over “six million jews were killed.”
The Holocaust took place from 1933 all the way to 1945 and was soon to become one of the largest mass killings known to man. When world war 1 ended Germany was shamed with the Treaty of Versailles. It took most of their territories away from them, repre handed some of their military power and left them with nothing left to lose. Hitler had the idea of a German only power for Germany so he decided to try and remove all other races.
People primarily Jews were placed into concentration camps. These are places where they put the captured people to suffer and slave their lives away to make sure that the ss/nazi’s got the most out of their prisoners. People were ripped to shreds by these camps. Former human turn creatures no longer to understand where they came from or who they are. In these camps there was no “family.” Mothers ripped away from their children. Mothers who refused to let go of their young children were gassed with them. Women were body shamed and abused. Men were forced into labor camps and the weak were killed they had no form of remorse for anyone.
Children in the Holocaust were exiled from their families. They were put into groups with German children in an attempt to assimilate them. This way the Germans can build up their military. Four of the concentration camps include Auschwitz, Belzec, Bergen-Belsen, and Buchenwald. Aushcitwz was one of the most lethal over one million jews were killed there. But within this camp there was scientific testing being done on humans here. In an attempt to find ways to help the Nazi’s win the war.
In conclusion this must not allow an event like this to happen again. An event like this is inhumane and leaves people scarred for life. Creates a sense of darkness for everyone.
